Commercial refrigerators and freezers that meet ENERGY STAR® requirements will provide significant savings to business operations, as they are 20% more energy efficient than standard models on average. Commercial refrigerators and freezers that have earned the ENERGY STAR qualification are designed with better insulation and more efficient motors and compressors. Choosing ENERGY STAR® qualified reach-ins over standard models will help to lower energy consumption and utility bills.
The Knowledge You Need.
- Available only to commercial customers in El Paso Electric’s New Mexico service area.
- Qualifying equipment can be installed for retrofit, replace-on-burnout, or new construction applications. All equipment must be electric.
- Solid and Glass Door Reach-In refrigerators and freezers must meet CEE or ENERGY STAR® minimum efficiency requirements.

Participation Made Easy.
1. Select a contractor or distributor of your choice. Customers may also apply for an EPESaver ENERGY STAR® Solid and Glass Door Reach-In rebate without contractor or distributor assistance.
2. Take photos of the newly installed equipment. Photos should clearly show the product manufacturer and model information.
3. Complete the EPESaver Solid and Glass Reach-in calculator and submit a copy of your receipt or invoice. The calculator can be accessed using one of the options at the bottom of this page.
4. Your rebate will be mailed directly to you. Rebate checks will be mailed within 4-6 weeks of receiving the application.

Please mail any rebate applications to the EPE Rebate Processing Center. Make sure to include a copy of your receipt or invoice.
